SSC Exam Information

  • Staff Selection Commission or simply SSC is an Indian government organisation to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.
  • This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations.
  • Every year Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts numbers of examinations to select competent profiles candidates for various job engagements. While all jobs handled by the SSC is intended for central and state government departments SSC exam is one of the most awaited entrance examinations that are looked forward by the aspirants from multiple academic disciplines.

SSC Exam Eligibility

  1. NATIONALITY / CITIZENSHIP

    A candidate must be either :

    • a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
    • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  2. AGE LIMITS for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & CAPFs and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF is 20-25 years.
